The robocalls have slowed down on my end since Jan 1..until today! (3 in the span of 2 hours) This is a new number, no idea who they are. The ID stated "Customer Dept." No message left.
The ID stated "Customer Dept." No response when I answered. I returned the call and got a message that if I want my number removed, to press '1', which I did. They did not identify themselves on the recorded message.
For a while at start of the new year, the robo calls slowed down. Well they're BACK! It does not pay to answer. I increased my ring count, so now there are no more voice mail messages. At least for now. I have filed complaints with both federal and state (Commonwealth of PA) Do Not Call websites, and Pennsy was courteous enough to send me a form letter in reply -- they admit they are powerless to trace and stop these calls. The robo callers use sophisticated computer software to constantly change their untraceable phone numbers. So unless I recognize the caller, I just don't answer. There are usually 4 rings and then it stops.
