I thought it smelled funny. They called today, saying they were from Citibank. I gave them nothing, and their caller ID came up as YMAX COMMS CORP. They hung up when I called them on it.
Just received a call from this number as well; they claimed to be Western Union and needed banking info for a wire transfer and I just hung up on them - be very careful!
What is this scam about? We've had someone calling our number for two weeks, always the same guy, always from a different phone number with a different area code, same Indian accent, always asking for a different employee name we've never heard of, always saying he's with a different company (which is always a major US corporation). What are they hoping to do? Call back a few hundred times and eventually they'll hit a name of an actual employee? . . . . Then what?
