This is the second individual - or perhaps he is the same and simply using two bogus 347 #'s - I have reported within the last hour. Both attempts were through Match.com and I have reported close to 20 separate attempts of men (?) contacting me representing themselves as a potential date when in fact they are scams. Some of the profiles, pictures and follow up emails can be quite elaborate in detail and men will also pretend to be women asking legitimate males for additional photographs to be emailed to them that are then used as phoney internet dating members. It has become a viscous cycle. Please be very careful using online dating sites and providing information to members that will allow someone to trace you, including your cell #. I strongly urge you to first check the area code they give you and if it does not tie in with their profile address (city/state) then you should consider the contact to be bogus. I have found a lot of these scams are coming through Nigeria. Knowing that, please ask yourself if someone states they are born in the USA but have an overseas accent, question the discrepancy. Also check 800notes.com for any further area code updates that pertain to the various scams out there. Its a dangerous world, please be cautious and safe.
