•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Got a call saying they were with the Treasury Department and that they had sent me a letter about a problem with my tax return. I told them that I had not seen the letter or I would have responded. He said I need to call his supervisor to avoid final judgement since this was the LAST NOTICE. Wanted me to call this number and talk with Danny at extension 115. Feels like a scam.
I received a call at about 8:00 this morning. He said there was a problem with my taxes and they were filing something with the courts. I said I didn't receive anything from the IRS. He seemed surprised when I commented. Told me I was mailed something twice now. I said that I am not talking to him any more and hung up. Yes I am pretty sure it was a scam. The IRS would not get ahold of you over the phone re-guarding such things.
4:45 pm 10/22/15 a man barely able to speak English called from this number and spelled his name because he could not pronounce it: Raymond!! He said the call was about a lawsuit that we had to take care of right away!! Told him "Sure, you are the scammer that has been calling many people in our local towns"! He got all flustered and said "No scam, very important", but could not say more. I could hear a lot of people in the background talking on the phone-- phone bank of scammers, possibly from India from their accents. I hung up!!!!
Also got a threatening call from the same phone number today. The caller claimed to be Jennifer and I've her voice recorder and their claimed officer with Indian voice called himself John Spencer and told me that we owed taxes. When I asked them any specific, he said that police are on the way to arrest my wife in few mins. I haven't seen any police but did scare me. I'm on the non-solicit national call list and surprise to get this kind of calls. I have the feeling that they're trying to gather info from us. Please be very cautious and hope law efforcement will get them soon.
I received the same phone call yesterday. Man who could barely speak English who goes by the name David Greene claiming to work for the US Treasury. My husband called them out also and told him to never call again.
