Someone called me from this number and left a message saying that they were with the Attorney General's Office, and I needed to call them regarding my account. When I called, the phone was answered as "The US Department of Treasury". They told me there was an error filed on my 2013 taxes and if I didn't take care of it immediately, I would have a warrant for my arrest within 6 months. They also started saying something about a letter that was sent to me by the IRS. It didn't take long to figure out it was a scam. These people didn't know whether they work for the Attorney General, Department of Treasury, or the IRS. Anyone knows that the IRS garnishes your wages and doesn't file warrants.

Just talked to the man who claimed he was from Department of Treasury. I told him how much of a scum bag he is for preying on people and that I was reporting him. He told me I was getting arrested in 35 minutes lol!
Got the same call as above today Nov 9, 2015. Stated from Dept of Treasury. I said I work for the US Federal Government and they immediately hung up on me. What a scam... but they had me going for a minute.
They called BEFORE 8:00 a.m. in the morning - didn't leave a message BUT it had a name on the call ID this time (Angeli Smith). I have been receiving calls recently where they said they were the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit against me. They wanted me to call them back right away. Considering I file and pay my taxes every year, I knew it was a scam.
