There should be some way to control these people who keep harassing individuals stating that they owe money on payday loans. Calls come from American Law Enforcement Department from Ricky Woods and demand information and make threats to callers.
I've been getting calls as well. Said they will tell my manager and I will get fired and go to jail for two years. Have been getting calls for about a week and had enough yest so I started asking questions...said I owed $522 (not true) said my identity might've been stolen and I should care. The calls started again this morning so I in turn called him back about 10 times in a row. This stopped the calls for about 8 hrs. He then called me back and said if I paid $100 or $50 that he'd remove my name from the list...this is a scam, do not give them any personal information.
Report them to the FTC. I don't know if it will do anything but at least it's a start. By starting some sort of database and/or file we can limit the number of people they effect.
I got a call from this same Ricky Woods saying he was a sheriff and they had an arrest warrant out for me if. Didn't Pay $586 that I do not owe!! He said he need to tell me how to do this to repay without going to court!! I would have to get a lawyer and I would end up paying 5000 for court cost!! He even called my work!!
Keep getting calls from this number. Got a calls on my cell phone and on voice mail. Stating name is Jack Martin Sherif of New York state and there is an arrest warrant against my name and I need to call him back asap to resolve this matter before it comes to light. What law office and tells you that they have an arrest warrant against you and what law office calls and want you to pay them money. Most of them want you to send money to them by Green Dot money pak and call and give them the number of the card. What type of fools do these pple think that you are. I got burned once and it won't happen again. Legitimate collection agencies do not call you on the phone with type of BS but send you something in writing and not try to scare you into sending them money. THese ppl that call have foreign accents and try to appear to be American law enforcement. There should be a way that these scam artist can be stopped. How do they continue to operate and pester American citizens. I am frankly tired of these calls from this number and all of the other numbers.
i keep getting the same type of calls but mine says his name is griffin bell and he speaks with a forgien accent i can barely understand him but he has threated to have me put in jail i even recieved a death threat and i think its from the same people. how do i stop them
