On Friday 10/14, I too received a message from Deputy Eddie Smith from the Attorney General Office, stating that if they don't hear from me within 24 hours I'm going to jail. Saturday morning I received a call from this number again. It was an Indian man stating that I took out a cash advance loan for $6,000 and in order to prevent me from going to jail I have to send him $320. I asked where his office was so that I could go to meet with someone in person. He told me I could not, he instructed me to send the money to John Algarin by western union to Phil, Pa. I told him to give me 15 mins. so that I can go to the check cashing center, he agreed. I walked to the 7th pct, waited for the call and handed the phone to the police officer. About 20 mins. later I received another call from this number and the person told me he knows where I live and now I'm going to regret this because he's taking everything I have and he's sending his police to my home in 10 mins. I must admit I was very afraid. I hope the authorities get to the bottom of this Mark Brown and his crew.
Same thing here... call from 911 with a message to call attorney mark brown. when i called he answered with a "Hi this is mark" no secretary at that law firm i guess. they also said i would have to go to court in new york on a saturday. everybody watch out from these.

In the meantime, you are going to have to do whatever you can to protect yourself. That includes letting them know they are running a scam and are reporting them to the authorities.
I received this call just hours ago ... stating it was 911 and to call some attorney mark brown ...but the background was super loud and the caller had a thick Indian accent. After reading this I'm glad to find out I'm not the only person going through this but that it is a scam and I knew it sounded odd. If anyone can give me tips on how to report them to the local authorities it would be greatly appreciated as I want this harassment to stop./
I just got the same call today & they called me about 2 weeks ago saying i was going to jail did not have all my information correct so i told them to go right ahead and do what you gotta do .. I know what my bank statements says & i did not get a loan from them !!!
I am receiving calls from a emergency number telling me they have an arrest warrant against me, that I need to call this number to an attorney that he got my case, this man is threating me and calling 3 or 4 times a week, I dont know what can I do
