Received 3 calls within the last 2 days. Two of them were within an hour of one another. And they always call after 8 p.m. Didn't answer any of them. WHO ARE THEY???? I did a phone # search but of course, it doesn't come up.
Recieved call 1/11/08..Stated they were from the Children's Wish Foundation, and gave out some 800 # which i did not write down. The call had the tone of the "make a wish foundation", and i did not contribute. I suspect they play off the name (sounds like make a wish) and get a lot of donations that way. Reading the posts above, it doesn't look like they will divulge info. Nice website, but I can put one of those up in a couple days. Bottom line, if you don't know where the money goes, and they won't say, don't contribute!

I have also received several calls from this organization, usually right before 9, both am and pm. I no longer contribute to anyone by phone. One of the MAJOR fundraisers for kids, which I won't name, but benefits certain athletes, had a paid company fundraising for them. Against my better judgement, I donated using my debit card - only to have it charged 3 times over 2 weeks. Needless to say, I'm done with them, however, they did refund my money when I told them why I refused to donate this year. Any charity that pays another company to fundraise for them gets very little of the money, and often loses contributors.
