Received a call from a Brian Lex offering $250 a week to have my car advertise their sticker for "soy milk". I said ok as long as they didn't need my personal information such as my bank acct. They said they didn't need it, all they need from me is to cash or deposit a $2000.00 check that they were sending to my home address. Received the check for $2300.00 abt 5 days later, in it were instructions to deduct $250 for myself and the rest of the money I would need to send via money gram in the total of $1000.00 to a David who is the guy who is supposedly putting the decal on my vehicle. It really got me suspicious because he also stated to send the remaining balance ($980.00) to David via Western union, this David is located in TX which is where I'm sending the money to! Why do I have to go through the hassle of doing all this to get this so called David paid!? Why couldn't they pay him straight? And why couldn't they find some one local here in Downey Ca to wrap my vehicle? Get this the last portion of the letter stated that once I sent the money I am only to contact him via email or text message. Email is
[email protected] and the phone number is 205.683.8825. I feel it in my gut that this is a scam, anyout there going through or have been through something like this?
