Ridiculous call. SCAM. Saying I did wrong on my taxes, I own IRS money, I will get arrested after she hangs up the phone, etc. Changed my number at the end.
stated that they were from the investigation bureau and that there was a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion. I didn't think the call was serious because 1) I pay my taxes and 2) I never received a notification. They asked me if I ever filled out a D7 form - not a real form.
They successfully freaked me out thinking I was going to get arrested for something I didn't do, they successfully wasted 30 minutes of my time until they realized that I wasn't really believing their story and then hung up.
It's really messed that there are people out there trying to scare people into sending money. Don't fall for it. Tell them that you're going to have your attorney call them back and that should end the call quickly.
I just received a phone call from the investigate department saying there a warrent for my arrest. I didn't understand a word that she was saying on the message. But then I did research on the number before I called everything says it a scam Do Not call that number they want money. Everyone be careful and Google numbers if you don't know who it is.

They called me from this number and said the same as above. This is a scam number and the IRS will not arrest you or call you, they will send a letter (their website). They had me freaking out, but I should have figured a Doug Miller usually wouldn't have an Indian accent.
I tracked it to Kansas and they gave me the address to the IRS in NY. He said he was Doug Miller, but had an Indian accent <scratch head>
They call me from 240-200-7595. The person stated that they were from the investigation bureau and that there was a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion. The person was extremely aggressive, during 21 minutes and then hang up. This is a scam.
