I have received several of these threatening messages, 2 by voicemail, difficult to understand but clearly fraudulent.  I happened to answer once; it was a different guy.  I told him to stop bothering me, that they had my name wrong in any case, and I was not the person they were trying to reach.  Two days later I got another VM from the first guy. I am now trying to get in touch with the NY Attorney General's office to see what they are doing about this.  They name of the alleged law office that they are now using is "Robert Sheffer".

Yes i do have the number for the attroney genral and i am being serious that everyone that gets calls from this company and they say they are with some type of law enforcement you need to call the following number so we can get them taken care of. 2129614475.....please call and lets get them.

I have received a call and voice mail from a "David Miller" from an Atty office of Robert Sheffer (? I think? it was very hard to understand what he was saying) every single day for the last two weeks, stating I now have to go to a hearing in Jacksonville, Florida (which he didn't give me the dates for either). I have ignored the calls, due to seeing the posts on this site. I finally decided to call today and ended up speaking with a "Mike Thomas" and ask them what the H*ll is going on, and they said again that my claim had been "downloaded into a Civil court." When I asked who was suing me they said "Payday Loan." I informed them that I have never done business with a compay called that (however I have taken payday loans in the past, and paid them ALL, but none with that name.) and I wanted to know who it REALLY was. They said that it was a parent company of about 200 other payday loan companies, and gave me a bunch of names, to which I replied I had never done business with any of them. He argued with me, saying I MUST have. When I asked how much it was for, he could not tell me this information, as well. I did not back down, and he said he could send me the paperwork. I told him PLEASE DO! He demanded my atty info, which I would not give him. At that point, he got beligerant and hostile with me. When I asked for the address and phone number of the "Payday Loan" plaintiff, he hung up on me!!!!! I will be contacting the OR Attorney General's office and filing a complaint!

Love this person calling saying they are James Green, Dude doesn't speak english.  I am going to say I doubt that is his birth name.  Don't humor these people by calling them back.

I have received numerous calls from this number from June 2011 to now.  In June it was from                 (661) 230-3036.  Identified them selves as Officer Mike Johnson from State Investigation Dept.  The next one was from same phone number and Identified himself as Officer Jack Dawson.  Both threatened to come and arrest me.  Recently they called from (347) 637-6467 and said they are from the Law Office of Robert Shaeffer, I had him spell it for me.  He said that he is going to have me picked up,  I called Sheriffs Department to see if it is true.  They said it was a scam and to ignore it.  They called again today (8-11-2011).  I called this number back, asked for the ext given to me #204.  Johnny Lee came on the line and said there is a court date for Aug. 18, 2011 for a lawsuit.  He first told me it was for Payday Loan and then he said it was for Cash Advance from July 2010.  They knew my Social Security number, the bank I do business with, and my Address.  These people are scary and need to be stopped.  Please people call the Attorney General to get these people from doing this. Also you need to file a police report to protect yourself against them.  The number for Colorado is 1-800-222-4444.  The e-mail is [email protected]
