The jerk on the other end asked for me. Knowing I have to screen my own calls sometimes, I asked who it was and what the call was regarding. He told me his name, which I forgot already because he really p***ed me off, and the abbreviated name of some company. He said to just tell her who it is and she'll know what the call is regarding.. the solicitor line of you know what. I once again asked him to tell me what the call was regarding. He then, very rudely, said "I'll say it slower for you, it's E..........A ............C................... from Dallas.....". That really p***ed me off. I called him an a**hole and asked to be removed from his list. He continued talking and I then said it again. He started yelling at me and I hung up.
We received another call from the same number within a couple of minutes, and the receptionist was able to answer it that time. The person was trying to disguise their voice and asked for me, again. She asked me about it and then told them that someone from there already called here and spoke very rudely. The person told my receptionist that the person cussed at them. It then became a battle of words, They ended up finding out that the first person that called did actually talk to me and I had no idea who they were.
The line of acting like we are very familiar with each other is ridiculous. I think they need new instructions on how to cold-call potential clients. Acting rudely on the phone, and lieing, will not get them to the person they most want to speak to.
The number that was on my phone is different, but same place. I got 1-347-642-4116. I'm on the do not call list. Very annoying...bad connection. Someone needs to stop this!!
we are on a DO Not CALL list. So quit calling. If we want to talk to you, we will call your number and ask for whatever sorry service you are trying to sell!
