scam to buy item from cl with check and extra payment

Just received multiple texts from this number to purchase a $800 sauna I have posted on Craigslist. They wanted to send me a check and confirm delivery later. I am about 4 states away from New York, it is an expensive item, and they didn't even bother to call me about. This screamed scam!

Received texts about multiple large items on cl. Four states away. SCAM

Obvious scammer.....i mean really......who in there right mind is gonna pay the shipping costs of a slate pool table from the oregon coast to new york......No one ever said scammers were blessed with a lot of brains.....lol
