Caller is a scam artist ... the call from 347-669-7137 came listed under name miriam.taylor45.   The person advertises cars, etc for sale via on-line classifieds, usually at a really low price.  Replies to emails as sandra crudden <[email protected]> ; (maybe uses other fake email addresses as well)

Guy has some story about it being his wife's car, he lives very far away; will ship the vehicle to the buyer after payment to a 3rd party, and you get 5 days to try out the car, etc.  ... you're money disappears, and the vehicle never appears.

Here's the email I received when I replied to an on-line add ...lol  :

I want to use as a third party Amazon Payments ( visit their website: http://canada-amazon-payments.com/ ). You will have to make the payment through bank wire transfer in a trusted Amazon Payments bank account. The shipping will be started in 24 hours after your payment is confirmed. The car will be delivered in 3 or 4 days. From the moment it arrives at your door, you will have 5 days to test and inspect it. If it doesn't match my description or if you find anything wrong with it, Amazon Payments will refund your money in 3 working days and I will be in charge of the return shipping fee. They will hold the money until you confirm that the car is as expected.
This way we are both protected. I am sure that you have the funds to buy it and you can verify that the car is as advertised knowing that a 3rd party has the payment secured.
In order to start the transaction, please go on Amazon Payments, register and then click purchase an item, once you do that, Amazon Payments will send you the invoice with all the payment and shipping details.
