While I missed the call and they didn't leave a message, this number is from the same area code that called several times in a day last week and other people reported as an IRS scammer. The similar number is: 347-467-1068 and has it's own page here.
Today Feb16. I also had receive this call number on my answering machine saying the IRS ready file a Law suit against Me!
I did not bougher to calling them Back knowing the IRS ,would always notified You by mail,not a phone call. all a pack of lies trying to frighten

I received the same call about 15 min ago....the person on the other end was very belligerent and was threatening me. That someone would be showing up at my house today and I would be arrested and held for 48 hours for investigation. And that my checking and savings account would be frozen. Who would be the best authorities to contact in this situation? BBB, local police, FBI?
It is 11:54 am and I just missed a call from this number by a minute. My voicemail only got a partial message giving this number and saying something about a case. Before I returned the call I decided to Google this number and found this site. Reading your collective comments, I will not be returning the call.
