Caller claims to be from IRS Investigating Dept. and saying to call them back otherwise they will send the case to the police. I have checked IRS website the phone number cannot be found. Definitely a scam.
I moved to the United states few years ago and i never had to deal with IRS before. However i do have some dept to pay but my tax person is taking care for the paperwork. These [***] called me and made me to believe that my tax guy didnt file anything and that IRS issued a warrant for my arrest. I got very scared and i asked what do i need to do to prevent the arrest explaining that my tax guy was supposed to take a care for my case. They said since my background is clean they will give me a chance. I believed. They asked how much i can pay and i said 2000. They said if they find out that i have more money and im lying ill be in big trouble. 4000 was all the money i had. They were with me on the phine for two hours and was threatning me if i say anything to anyone they will arrest me automatically because that way i would brake confidentiality and [***]. I believed in everything. They were organized. They were transwering my calls back and forth btween departments....it seamed legit 100%.
After i set the money, they told me to go home and wait for tax officials to pick up the receipts. I went hom but nobody showed up. I realized something is wrang. I called the police and they confirmed it was a scam. I cried... all my money was taken. I even dont know how im gonna pay my rent for the nxt month....
