I JUST got done talking with this man on the phone. He had a very heavy Middle Eastern-ish accent and said his name was Officer Roy Williams. He told me the exact same information (Case number: JWB15781) and that I was being sued by Cash Connection for an outstanding amount of %525.38 which had supposedly been wired to my account.
I even went back to my bank online to double check everything and no, I had not been wired such an amount.
He told me I could either pay back the amount or go to court. I told him I was going to check my bank statements first and call him back later....
Recieved a call from Brian Coldman (very heavy accent) with the Department of Law and Investigation, Bronx County, April 27, 2011. He said I owe money to Cash Connection Organization of $825.36, whom I've never taken a loan from before. He has called my cell and work 5 time with 2 days. He was quick to tell me what I owed and if I didn't pay I would be arrested. Just as I'm tying this message Brain Coldman calls me back. When I asked to speak with his supervisor, he said he didn't have one (Right!) He gave me a case number of JWB15781. I told him not to call me at work or on my cell until.

Yesterday I received the same call and they have been calling periodically for the last month or two. Each time it is a different phone number but the voices are all the same. They claim I took a loan out and failed to pay it back when it was due. They have given me the same exact file number but I was called by Alex Brown (yeah right!). When I asked when and how much I was supposedly given they couldn't give me that information. I have given their information to the Attorney General's Office in the state of Missouri and they are going to start tracking these people down from their end. This is all an internet scam! I told them to serve me the papers if they are going to sue me and I'd see them in court!
today was the third time these people have called me. the first time, a man named Brian Coleman called and said i was being sued for a loan i took out online and that if i didn't settle i was going to go to jail for felony. i knew it was a scam because i had just paid the loan off and closed the account. i also asked him when and how much the loan was but couldn't give me ANY information.
