Several phone calls and 2 voicemails with a recorded male voice claiming to be from a police dept in NY, where a case from the IRS was filed against me.
Received 5 calls and 5 voicemails today from this number. Digitalized voice stating lawsuit to be filed against me if I don't call them. Called the number, answered "Thank you for calling IRS". I told them I received multiple calls from this number and know that it is bogus. That is as far as I got before they hung up on me.
I have received 8 phone calls/voice mails from them today. If you call back its either busy, just rings and rings, or if you get ahold of anyone they say "This is the IRS, how may I help you?" I told them to take me off their list and they hung up

It's the IRS SCAM, folks. There's no police, no law suit, no case, just a bunch of thieves in India and Pakistan (with assistants in the US) trying to steal your money. Read about the scam from the real IRS and about a few of the ba$stards that have been caught. Block the number. Cheers! :-)
