I experience the same thing from (347)722-9788.
Said he was DEA, told me there was a warrant for my arrest unless I went to a Western Union office to wire them $1,500. I filed an online complaint with the FCC. I called the real DEA, they were not that concerned; said this was a scam, and to ignore it. I asked, what about impersonating a federal officer? They asked if I had a full recording of the conversation and I said no. The real DEA said that was the end of the story. I was stunned.
A man claiming to be with the DEA left a voicemail for me asking to call him back on this number. I contacted the DEA, and there is no "Officer John Garcia" working for the agency. So if he calls you again, [***] him out, and let him know a report has been filed with the FBI (I did file one) and he is being investigated for impersonating a federal officer. The FBI may or may not actually investigate my report, but he won't know that. :-)
