Representative claims to be working for Microsoft and wants to make sure that the error messages and foreign ip addresses streaming on your computer aren't compromising national security and causing problems with your system.  They feed you just enough information to appear to be legitimate, but are just seeking remote access to your desktop where they can run whatever information theft software they'd like.  Don't fall for it and don't pay the nominal $25.00 fee to update all your anti-virus software and so on and so forth.  Scam, Scam, Scam!  Most are Indian speaking individuals and clearly they are calling from a telemarketing phone bank as you can hear them speaking in the background.  If you express discomfort about spending any money, they threaten to blacklist your ip address and tell you that it is a mandatory fee that you must pay or they will be forced to blacklist your ip address.  DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD and DON'T LET THEM INTO YOUR COMPUTER.  LIARS, SCAMMERS, VERMIN OF THE EARTH!  If you do happen to let them into your computer, before they can mess with your settings, unplug your internet cable and shut down your computer.
