I received the same call today, by the same person, Officer Damon Marshall, but the number he called from was 347-344-5261. Same Indian accent, and hung up on me as well after threatening an elder family member!
said he was from irs when i asked his badge number he said 123456789 so when i backed him in a corner and told him i was an attorney and i was going to prosecute him he laghed said f@#$ motherf#@$er you know you cant ever catch me and when i insulted him telling him he smells and is probably calling from some smelly cave he told me he was sitting next to his pool in italy and that he makes 300,000 a month scamming people like this i couldn't believe how much info he was giving but i guess the vlop phone line they use is untraceable and even though it comes up a new york number it's not
I received a call on August 28th from a “so called” Agent of IRS Enforcement Division. They indicated that I owed over $4K in back taxes and I must pay it now. They also indicated that a warning letter was sent a week ago that I needed to respond to within 7 days. It goes without saying that I NEVER received a letter. That was the first [***] in his armor. The IRS always, always gives you a minimum of 30 days to respond to their inquiry. That SOB further told me a warrant was issued for me and that all my bank accounts and salary will be levied. A black marked will be placed on my credit report, etc. Again, the IRS does not do this without proper notification. They have to follow their own regulations and would NOT just levy your accounts without having a discussion with you, the tax payer. Finally, he told me that he is going to execute the warrant and that an officer will be out to pick me up. Folks, this is a SCAM of epic proportion, please contact the IRS directly when in doubt. The IRS can be tough but they are not unethical and must follow their own regulation as it relates to collecting back taxes.
