I had 2 messages left on my voicemail when I got home from work. They were threatening me with court action for taking out a loan with Pay Day One. I called the phone number 3477538218 and spoke to some guy who gave me his name as something different to who had left the message. I asked for Mark Brown and amazingly the guy changed his name to Mark Brown.he said he was working for American Law Enforcement and in April 2011 I had taken out a loan from a company called Pay Day One in Texas.I informed him that I had not, I would never need to> He said he was sending a summons to be served on me. I told him I was a retired Police Detective and he should send the summons and I would see him in court. I asked him which court and he said Pannsylvania Cout. He said he was working from the offices in Brooklyn New York but was not allowed to give me the address. What is concerning is that he has my Social Security last 4 numbers, my date of birth, my employer, my home address and my home phone number. I spoke to Pay Day One, they were quick to inform me that they already had a file on this scam and that they were investigating it. They also informed me that living in Minnesota stopped me from getting a loan and they would never have given a loan because they don't cover the state. He advised me to contact the Police and he would add my details to his file. This is a scam, a Fraudulent scam that could affect someones Credit Score. Be aware.
Similar situation. He called my nephew and said the same thing. I called from my cell phone with *82 preceding the number and went to town. I told him that I was hired by Western union and he had an unpaid charge of $700 and told him he needs to wire the $ in 24 hours. He laughed and said very funny. I said it was funny that he thinks we would fall for his scam. I have called him about 10 times the past hour or so and look forward to doing so until he switches our his prepaid cell phone (so he can't be traced). Maybe that will keep him from scamming anyone else.
they have called me the last few days...what do I need to do have contacted my local police station to report it and also contacted my bank...very worried about this because he is also threating to take me to court.
This woman just called me and said there were allegations against my name and said "this is extremely damn sensitive". They even had my SS#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to disreguard this and hope nothing happens.
I dont know who it is and i definitley cant understand the language.
