just called me telling me he was with Microsoft and that my computer had viruses. Microsoft does not call you. when i said "this is a scam", he screamed at me "this is not a scam". told him not to call again, and he screamed "oh, i will call again". What an [***].
Looks like this scam/scammer continues unabated. Still the same stuff already reported. You'd think they'd at least change tactics every few weeks! I would love to know how they got my cell number, tho...
These guys just don't give up even when you don't answer. So I decided to turn the tables and wrote a little script of my own. The next time they called I answered IT lab how can I help you and started his script, I jumped right in and said okay so you have a problem with your computer please describe what it is doing, he said no your I came back and we repair computers if you don't have a problem please hang up. I haven't a call from in 3 days. I hope this continues to work if not I will just do it again.
I have been getting calls from this number. I ask "John Kendall" not to call me anymore, and he yelled at me to "shut up". How can I turn this guy in? Next time I might just use a bunce of really bal language.
I had the satisfaction of telling "Alex" of Windows tech support to go &*#K himself after he said the company had received notifications from my computer that something was wrong. I've seen the warnings on television about this particular scam. The caller ID said ACS V Expans.
Yes!
Broken english is what they speak. He said he was in Japan and I said hey so am I!! For I.T. people the terms "malicious stuff" and "a crash down" are not too technical. I told him I was in front of my computer doing as he said when he asked "ok what do you see" I said " an [***] hole in Japan ripping people off." He then cursed at me very wickedly. He was better at that than his I.T. jargon!!! Ha! Love it!
