Caller ID indicates SECURITY CENTRL. These yahoos call several times a week with recorded message stating something like, "The FBI reports that a home is broken into every blah blah blah."
I presume they're trying to sell home security systems but I hang up after the first part.
So, telemarketing at it's (nearly) finest. The best (worst) I've gotten are those that either ask me to wait while I'm connected to a rep, or; a recording of a number they want ME to call THEM back on. Sheesh!
After a Google there seems to be more than one possibility: Security Central (Wholesale security systems - "make oodles of $$$") or Social Security Central. Neither site lists the number that called me. Big surprise -}
The Do Not Call List and FCC are about as worthless as all of the other government agencies. Funny that our government has the capability of spying on any landline or cellular line they want, but they can't track down the a$$hole telemarketers and scammers who bother people each and every day. I PAY for my phone lines and should have a right to determine WHO calls me and WHEN! This includes all of the charities, police organizations, research companies and politician!
