They called looking for a $36.00 credit card donation for a children cancer fund, that was bogus. The women had a Spanish accent, and the area code is
from the Bronx, NY. I contacted the FTC "do not call list", to ask them if the phone number was registered to a charity, since it didn't appear on my caller ID display. The caller seemed really pressed for money. I told them you can send me an envelope so I could make sure the charity was legitimate. Just wanted my charge number now! I said goodbye!
