THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee for a sweepstakes prize scam described here http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/menus/consumer/phone/prizes.shtm which lists several flavors. This type of scam is also being used for fake loans and grants (you have to send them money before they send you a loan or grant). Report to the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.
I received a cal from a guy from an unknown number. his name was kevin davis sayin he was caling from the federal reserve bank and to call the number back. his english was awful and he couldn't even put the words in correct order to make real sentences. none the less i called the number back and it was saying that the extension was unavailable anyway. so if he keeps calling, he will be on the block list 2nd time around. luckily i checked this out before i gave them the time of day!
