Yup. Scraping names and numbers off domain registration. Worth paying the $$ for private listings because of all the calls you get now. Like I'm really going to hire a no-name company to build a website for me.
Some non-USA web design company. My guess is they scrape domain registration information from the internet, and then bug the companies about web design services. They call at least once per day. I am calling my friend at the FBI to have this number tracked to a business, so our legal team can send a cease and desist letter.
Called my cell twice, I did not answer, they left no message.
Notes here and on another site indicate this is a web design company soliciting business.
I just picked up a new domain name from GoDaddy a few days ago - they likely scraped my phone number from my registration information. I believe that using domain registration information for commercial soliciting is against the rules.
So I am blocking the number on my cell (why would I want to do business with them under these circumstances?)
And Whitepages.com calls it "suspected spam" and gives it a 3/4 spam rating.
Lastly, if they were a legit company, why does their number not come up with a company name on a Google search of the phone number...
