Left a voice message claiming to be a Kevin Mason. Wanted to notify me of a US Treasury Enforcement action regarding a Federal Crime, and told me that not replying to him would be seen as intentionally avoiding an initial magistrate or grand jury hearing. He ended the call by saying that he suggested I call him so that I could help him help me. He began the voicemail saying that the intention of his voice message was to contact me. His words made it clear that he did not know my name, and his use of "us" let me know that he did not represent a real company. I am reporting this to IC3.gov. Please do the same for similar incidents.
BS scammer call about treasury dept. Federal lawsuit, etc. Couldn't really tell -- bad recording. And a magistrate's office? Do they even have those in the U.S.?
Exactly the same description as Mike's and KD in CT's descriptions. Perhaps we need another Call Type: Fraud call - somewhere between a telemarketer and a prank.
