Just got a text from this number about a vehicle I have listed. I was surprised someone from NY would want to know about a 1995 Ford Aerostar! No name left. I will let you know if they reply back.

Same to all of the above. Sgt Steve, texting only, deployed to Fort Drum, requesting close up pictures.. We are in northern MI selling a Silverado for $18k and he's offered full price, saying "price and condition are fine", will have a mover pick it up, pay through paypal, "im being honest and hope you will be too", blah blah blah. We were quite skeptical, so glad I found this thread, but I gotta admit, this was pretty tricky.. My fiancé told me about it, and I said I was 50/50.... A little more 80/20 when I read the texts myself and saw the funky grammar and spacing of the messages, but still, this is a step up from the scams I've dealt with previously!
Everyone need to call this number on Sgt Steve (toll free) 1-888-495-8501. This is the CAFC - The Canadian
Anti-Fraud Centre. The police gave me this number and said that the more complaints about this number and Sgt Steve will get this number shut down.
Same as all the above. We received a response on our craigslist ad for our truck that is for sale. Sgt Steve should be shot. What an awful thing to do!
