I received a text message about an job offer as a personal assistant from this number and Im wantinhgto know if know who's this number this is and if it's legit because I've received alot of job offers from strange numbers before and asking to respond by email to accept the job and 2 were people trying to pass fake checks off threw me to deposit and cash.
It sounds suspicious to me, especially since what you received was a text message, not a personal phone call. Even phone calls can be scams, and if you look around this web site you'll see there are hundreds of scams happening every day. I wouldn't trust an email either.
Is the sender of this text message someone you applied to for a job? If so, why didn't they phone you? If not, how would they have your cell number and why would they text instead of phoning?
It would be especially suspicious if they asked for any advance "payment" of any kind, or any personal information over the phone or via text or email. All that information should be given to the prospective employer in person, in their office. Even then, be sure to check out the company's credentials: unless you know the company, find out how long they've been in business, where are you being sent to finish your application, etc.
