Got a friend request on FB by a woman named, Jessica Schueneman. She had some people I knew on her friends list, so I figured we might have met at some point. The message she sent me;
"I just added u since I liked ur picture."
"U seem familiar, do we know each other?"
"I gotta log out right now"
"Txt me sometime 347-960-4267 k?"
She sent all of them within seconds. Before I could even respond, she "left."
About an 1 hour later a friend on my FB sent me a message asking what's the deal with her. Apparently, he got a request, and similar message.
So, this spurred my curiosity, and with a bogus Google Voice account, I tried calling the number. The phone just continuously rang. My friend suggested I try messaging, so with the bogus Google account, I did just that. My message was time stamped with 7:43 PM, and almost immediately I got 2 texts back with the same time stamp;
Me: Hey. How's it going? 7:43 PM
+13479604267: The link is *Insert obviously bogus URL here* text me ur username so that I can find you on there! 7:43 PM
+13479604267: baby i am ovr my txt limit! hit me up on my profile so we we can chat n not use all my txts :) 7:43 PM
My conclusion is either this individual is phishing for information, or trying to proliferate a virus.
Same as everyone else. Don't call the number. If your phone is tied to your account that gives them enough info to exploit and hijack. Block and report.
just got her/his message like 5 mins ago so i was like righteo never seen i number like that i wonder wat it is so i called it and it said that number never existed :o wierd
