I was looking at a rental property in Fairbanks and found one that seemed too good to be true, so I decided to do some research about the number I was communicating with. Now I know it is a scam. Always pays to do your research before getting in over your head.
This person is good, almost fooled me. She or he have pictures and everything to make her self look real. I wish there was a way to track these people down for real and put a stop to them. 347-974-2072 is total fraud!
I was taken in by a Zillow link to a lovely little property in Birmngham, AL. Called this number and left a message. About 2 hours later started receiving texts that the owner was in England on extended business and couldnt call out on their stateside phone number. Wanted to conduct all rental business by text! That's when I started the research and found this website. If a 2300 sq ft house with pool for $800 a month seems too good to be true, unfortunately it is.
I also did some research on a rental home in Broadview Heights, OH that this person had listed. I searched them on other real estate sites and they had several other listings as well. I contacted Trulia and asked them to take down the person's postings. Their grammar is terrible in their text messages, which leads me to believe they are not from the US as they do not use grammar correctly.
