The "manager" Rocky, from Gatorland Kia called recently from 352-620-2886. It was a recorded message stating that he wanted to make sure I got a mailed ad regarding trade-ins, but the obvious intent was to inform me they were making deals on selling cars. The reference to the ad may have been a tissue-thin attempt to circumvent telemarketing robocall laws so they can claim it was an "informational" call, not a sales pitch, which it obviously was. He said if I was interested I should call 877-524-0993. Then a female voice came on saying to press 8 to get taken off the call list.
I'm on both the Florida and federal DNCs, so how they justify this is beyond me. About the only thing I learned from this "infomational " call was Gatorland Kia isn't above operating fast and loose with the law, so they'd be the last bunch I would buy a car from.
