I am a senior lady and very security conscious. I only have a cell phone and I do not answer calls out of my area code unless I know them. I will answer calls within my area code cautiously if I do not recognize the number. I answered a call from 352-653-1239, it was an automated operator who:
1. couldn't pronounce the persons last name
2. told me to press 1 for next available operator
I promptly hung up, and went to the computer and punched in this number to find out it is a collection company. Not interested in getting anymore calls from them so I saved this number and for the name I merely put "do not answer". It's against the law for debt collectors to call a cell phone so I won't be answering anymore calls from this number. My phone doesn't have the ability to block calls so this is the next best thing.
