I have received several phone calls from this phone number 360-200-1097 over the past couple of weeks. They never identify what company they are calling from or who they are trying to reach. Also have gotten calls from a David Wells, who is supposed to be her supervisor/department manager or something. Those calls came from a 757-296-0105 number.
Here's the latest message I received:
This is Amber Knight operations manager with my department. I attempted to contact you yesterday in reference to this preliminary document that I'm getting ready to sign off on for recommendation. Once again due to the nature of this matter I am diligently trying to reach you since the situation may adversely affect you. Based on the information I have already verified. I am under the impression that this is the best phone number to reach you directly. In the event that I do not receive a response...”
A male sounding voice irritatingly stated " I have attempted to contact you numereous times in reference to information you may not be aware of. I am diligently trying to reach you since this situation may adversely affect you. Based on the information I have already verified, I am under the impression that this is the best phone number to reach you directly. In the event that I do not receive a response, I may have no other choice but to assume that you are disregarding this matter all together. I encourage you to return my call at 360-200-1097. Just some scammer wanting your info so they can get something for themselves.
I got another one. Some unknown company always using a different name and different numbers. I read it was a scam shop trying to scare you into giving them your info. DO NOT return these calls.
Bottom feeders trying to collect on legally dead debts (zombie debts). The callers names include - Amber Knight, Mrs Whitaker, Nicola Cardenas, Chris Davis, Monica Johnson, Mr. Blankley, David Wells, etc.
The phone messages usually go along the lines of the following: If you would, give me a call back at your earliest convenience. I have, tried to reach you on several attempts but have been unsuccessful. I am responsible for making a recommendation on information that pertains to you, and I would like to make sure the information I have is accurate and current before I make that recommendation.
They never mention your name in these phone calls. Therefore you have no idea whether or not the information actually pertains to you.
Do NOT return their calls. This gives them a valid phone number to work with towards collecting a debt that is dead beyond the statute of legal limitations. Notify the FCC about the harassing calls. State that you have no business with these individuals and therefore they are breaking the law in several areas. 1) They do not identify their "company" 2) They do not state whom they are looking for.
Do your homework as to fair debt collection practices and inform yourselves.
I have been getting multiple calls a day for a few months now. They leave messages but never leave the company name or who they are trying to reach. They try and intimidate you by saying it's regarding preliminary documentation and due to the serious nature they want to give me the opportunity to defend myself before further legal action is taken. My messages have said the same exact wording TexasT posted so it must be a script. I'm glad I looked this up and I am going to file a complaint against them with FCC. Also blocking their calls doesn't work cause they call from different numbers!
