When I called this number back the person who answered said, "Hello, this is the treasury dept." I told them I was returning their call that they had made to me with the phone number that had appeared on my phone screen and they claimed it was not their number. So I hung up, repeated the call, and got the very same person with the very same response. Person sounded as if from India.
I received a scare-inducing phone call from this number stating it was from the US Treasury urging me to call 1-360-203-0020 regarding a magistrate and grand jury inquiry. I was immediately suspicious for three reasons. First, our Federal Government would not make an unprofessional, threatening phone call. If our Government had a legitimate concern or inquiry, they would initially send a letter on official Government letterhead stationary providing believable contact information. Second, the call did not come from a District of Columbia area code phone number. Third, the call was not made during standard Government operating hours.
I received a very scary call from 360-203-0020, on June 13 at 4:53pm, from Forks, Washington, from the uS Treasury with a very urgent message in reference with a jury. This call was very suspicious.
