Left a message saying last attempt before the IRS sues me. The IRS would not call you at home and leave a message. If you were truly being sued they would notify you by certified letter. This is a Scam.
It is 100% a scam. A middle eastern woman called and left me a voicemail and I called back and she told me I owed money, the IRS had filed a law suit, DO NOT fall for this. The IRS does not call. I reported the number to the IRS website.
IN ADDITION, I had 120 min of drive time so I called them back every 2-5 min and messed with them. There were about 3-4 different people who would answer each time and each time I came up with a new name and each time they came up with a different story. They kept asking me to stop calling and wasting their time, and I asked if they would like to be on MY do not call list. :D One guy actually admitted that he was a scammer and was calling from Nigeria.
I also used a service to prank dial them and recorded several of the conversations of them claiming to be the IRS and each time after they realized it was a prank they hung up.
have been receiving voice mails daily that "inform you that there is a lawsuit filed against you by Internal Revenue Service. And there is a non-available arrest warrant issued under your name. So before we move forward with the lawsuit in the legal allegation contact us as soon as possible on 360-203-3269. Thank you." Of course this is a scam and the telephone number posted is not in service.
