Lady with an accent said she was with the IRS and I was going to be prosecuted for something or other, when I immediately told her she was full of s**t and hung up.
said they were from criminal investigation of IRS and not the IRS. saying you owe money for a stretch of years. they never tell you specifically what the charge is or why you would have to pay, but use phrases such as 'you may have filed late, you may have..., etc." and then once he had to say specifically he was with the criminal investigation and not the IRS the 2nd time which I feel was to try to intimidate me, I told him I was going to call the IRS to check on this myself. don't bother answering this number or calling it back. call IRS. if they had something on you the IRS would mail you directly, not call you

According to the above statements it was the IRS scam going around
IRS will send a certified letter if you owe something and any other business will do the same
I got a call from this number and had a message that I couldn't really understand I called the number back and they told me they were the FBI and that they need to pull my information up I hung up on them
