This company called me stating that i had an appointment with my doc's office (and they knew my doctor's name and my first name!)..When I called back, I got a recording stating that they were having a fund raising drive and to stay on the line!!! I, of course, hung up. That is a low life ploy and they need to be dealt with.
Caller ID said "BREASTCSANCEROF" --- I picked up the receiver and put it back down immediately. I have gotten calls previously from people claiming to be raising money to fight breast cancer. These are scams; just hang up.
The phone number appeared local for me but the women said she was from Florida... far, far away from WA State. And it's not all the phone companies fault... the FTC should be more aggressive and responsive to citizen's complaints.
