This number has been calling me for three years, so of course i ignore it. I have had many of my personal relatives and friends pass away with this illness, and i do not need to be reminded to donate .
SCAM ALERT -
The Caller ID shows 'Womens Cancer' for this number. I do not & will not answer calls from unknown #'s.
I do not make donations via phone or to organizations that I do not have personal knowledge/experience of.
I only return calls IF a message is left by a company I do business with but will only call the known # I have in my address book - I never call #'s left in message.
FYI: I HATE SCAMMERS.
I'd like to think this is a charity collecting donations to try to cure cancer, but its vague "Women's Cancer" title is pretty much a red flag for me. I'd like to think this is a charitable organization soliciting money to combat illness, but the vague "Women's Cancer" title is a red flag for me. Not to mention that no pharmaceutical company makes money off of cures; they make money off of people remaining alive but ill and consuming their products. That's what I see in MY lifetime: a perpetually medicated America. But a cure? Nope.
Wife answered. Caller asked for me, but said she would talk to either of us. Wanted my wife to pledge for cancer victims, even offered to put in the amount for her. Then wanted to bring in another person to talk to us. Said our call may be recorded. That's when my wife said "No," and hung up.
