But you know almost never any government offices call or email you for their matters. And you must be suspecting it's highly likely scam especially if you getting those calls from other states area code you're not living in.
Received a call from this number stating the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and to call them back. Instead I called the IRS directly and yep, it's a scam. You want money to lazy creeps, get off your butt and get a job like the rest of us!

bunch of idiot in probably India claiming you are delinquent in taxes, gave false name and false last 4 SS# , then they said i owed of $7,300. LMAO, lead them on for several mins, then came clean, then all of a sudden the idiot is calling me a F'r this and than, , laughing the entire time.
The guy I talked to ask for all kinds of personal info. He said his name. I said I dont know who you are. I'm not telling you anything. He says write down this information. Name. Badge number. Then asks me again. I said I'm not giving you any information. He said, you shouldn't. You seem like a nice person. The IRS will never call you or ask for information over the phone. This is a scam.
