left a message on my answering machine saying I am under federal indictment and may have to appear before a grand jury for prosecution. left some kind of case code, which is less than correct.
Left a message, and a case # from The Treasury Dept. said if I ignore it and don't call I would have consequences and I will face s grand jury.

Just received the recorded message. I too am in trouble with the US Treasury. I am informed this is the second attempt to inform me of this matter. I played back the message to see if the number I or my attorney should call is the same as what showed up on my caller id. It is. I *67d the number twice....first time just got clicks...second time noise then a busy signal. Got brave dialed a 3rd time- no *67 (knowing I was going to block the number) Busy signal again ....so angry I wanted to give who ever answered hec! Oh well I tried.....the lady said if me or my attorney didn't call her back she wished me luck...AWWWW isn't that sweet. I am approaching 59...I think I am on the senile sucker list (DNC Registry) or maybe because i inherited this, my childhood home, and it has had the same number since the 60's. It's JUST WRONG! These people should be HUNG! Just out of curiosity... what are others Case numbers....wouldn't be CF79621 would it?
Female voice mail, claiming to be from US Treasury, and threatening enforcement action if she does not hear from my lawyer or me. She says if I ignore the message, she wishes me "good luck" with what will befall me, and that ignoring the message will be considered a "second offense to avoid prosecution." THIS IS A SCAM! First of all, the IRS does not call people on the telephone. They write letters or they take action. Do not, repeat, do not, under any circumstances, call these people back or give them any information. They are fraudsters, and they belong in jail.
Left incomplete message: "...VF7961...initial appearance...magistrate, judge, grand jury...federal criminal offense...call 360.215.7337." When I called the number (dumb me) a hispanic male said it regarded "past due property taxes in Dodge City." When I said I did not live or own property there, he hung up. Subsequent redials resulted in a busy signal.
They can't be stopped. Callers are located in India and Pakistan. US Can't do anything and local governments do little. Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize. These callers spoof local numbers. There's no way to stop the calls from being initiated.
