I answered and hung up immediately & then added them to my blocked list on my Panasonic phone. As Bob said above, all these so called charities are a scam. When the Heart Association called, I asked exactly what the HA did for people with heart problems. She said they were there to EDUCATE the public about heart disease. They do not help people in need at all. If you tell the caller what the CEO's salary is, they are shocked and realize they're not getting a dime from me. I used to make websites for businesses and got a call from a man who wanted 7 websites for police association, firefighter association, all the branches of the armed services - you get the picture. I told my partner that I wasn't going to design anything unless it was payment up front. That never happened and neither did their 7 websites. A couple weeks later, they were in the news for running a scam and they fled the state. Our local police warned us not to give money over the phone. Think about it - they'll have your credit card number and you don't really know who they are.
We got a call from this number today at 2:26 pm, and it was blocked by our call blocker. Due to numerous such calls it now blocks all calls from this area code. Apparently this is a new number for the same scam.
