If you live in a big enough town, you will no doubt notice that State Farm offices only have one name on them - State Farm. The same pretty much goes for Geico - they tend to sell just Geico.
Scammers occasionally drop names, to make people think the call is more legitimate. You knew something was wrong, and you were correct. If they call again, don't answer.
360-229-7794 (Shelton, WA) has hit my cell phone up for about two months now. I never answered, thinking its a wrong number. I also was receiving calls on my landline from 360-229-7154, again never answered. Finally I called the 360-227-7794 from my landline which is a blocked number. I just got a busy signal but within seconds they called me back. I answered hello--nothing- I said HELLO- then this guy with a strong Indian accent just went off on me. He was calling me very bad names, yelling at an intense level and asking me how I can treat people the way I do. Do not call lists are a joke. Why can't phone companies or the Feds get a hold of this issue? It's so annoying and insulting.
