These calls are from criminals pretending to be the IRS. They make threats of legal action, etc.
I have received dozens of these scam over the years. Just got one today. The real IRS does not behave like this. This is a well know scam by criminals who do not even live in this country!!!
Had a voice message Nov 17 2015 stating that this was the IRS and that they were going to file a lawsuit against me. When I called back, the phone switched and then disconnected.
Horrible, scary and cruel.
Just received this call and immediately went to the computer to look the number up, which brought me here. This is the second time I've received this call. I believe it's a prank as when I called the number back it just rings through but no one answers.
