Called said I owed over $2000 in taxes from 2013, 2014, 2015. They asked for my social security number and even gave a so called badge number. We called the number back from a different phone and a man answered and just said hello and we said we had the wrong number and asked "who is this" they hung up.
I had two calls - one from 315-636-0854 the 1st call and a 2nd call later from 360-262-6396. Both stated i was being sued by the IRS and I was to call back immediately to get a case number. I did not call either number back.
They must think we are all stupid! Got a call from this number (which says it is from Chehalis, Washington) about a half hour after getting a call from 347-474-6966 (from New York) - both of them stating they were from the IRS and it was very serious and I needed to contact them at that number immediately to avoid legal action.
Received two calls from this number saying the IRS was filing a law suit against us. Its bogus!! IRS does not call you, they do all their correspondences via mail. BEWARE!!
