Woman called, quickly said something about hotels (and did mention a company very very quickly, but I didn't here it and she wouldn't repeat it when I asked), went on about some sort of promotion in Oregon, at which point I interrupted, said I wasn't interested, that this was a cell number she'd called and. . . she interrupted me to say it wasn't a sales call. I said I wasn't in Oregon any more, and all she did for another minute was ask me what state I'd moved to. I told her I didn't want to continue the conversation, that I wasn't interested, and that I was going to end the conversation. She didn't know my name, and it was clearly a blind call. Most likely not a "sales" call but some sort of promotion or "opportunity". I hung up after the ninth time she asked what state I moved to, saying "you have no reason to know that. Goodbye." and then hung up.

Got a call from the same number as the others in this thread; A: sounded like the call was either from the Phillipiines or India. B: The caller a goofy sounding high pitched male was cutting in and out called from Skype or a VOIP system. Heres the scchtick the dummy pitched to me below verbatim:
caller:Hello are you owner of this phone number I called you on?
My answer: Duuh, why would I answer if it wasnt?
caller: are you the owner of this number?
My answer: if you are trying to sell me something get lost.
caller: Madame I am not trying to sell you anything, but within a couple of weeks you will recieve a special card that you scratch off and also a free Ford Explorer.
Me: Look you! Unless you want to get arrested and go to jail I suggest you give it up!
Thus people, I terminated the call with the little foreign rat..... aka cockroach.
Lesson in all this these callers fear the police, when you use that line since they already live in a voilent and oppressive country and it works everytime.
Be as mean as bold, and as tough as an American can be.... hold your ground and crush with your mouth, cussing doesnt work- it will just ruin your day.... scare em, but wisely. Ruin their day.
Tell them you are an employee with the FBI or other Federal agency, they will die right on the spot.....
Then tell them you have also recorded the call and have the number and are going turn them over to the correct authorities, they will choke. Dont yell, dont cuss, just scare them real good!
Why you ask? this scare people into ceasing these calls and also file a complaint with donotcall.gov if your number is on the list.
I am and did, they dead in water as we speak.
Dont buy into anything they say, IT IS A SCAM!
And, I thought Ford stopped making Explorers...... LOL
