They have called me three times today, starting at 7:18 a.m.! I didn't answer the phone and they would leave some automated message which sounded cut off. All I heard was case file and to call the number back, etc. I just blocked the number because I don't know what they're talking about and I didn't appreciate them calling so early in the morning!
Started calling today. Leaves a cut off automated message about "if you would like to learn more about this case file (leaves number). Not sure who this is.
Had two messages on my answering machine today. Claimed on the automated call to be the irs and were fileing law suits. Called the number and got some man from india wanting me to agree to pay 4913 dollars today or face judgements in court. This has scam written all over it. The irs says on thier website that they will never call you about a problem. They will notify you by mail. There will be documenttation and even then you have 30 days to resolve or go on a payment plan. I told the guy to go ahead and persue me in court if he had the kahunas. Trying to call the irs now about it.
They have been calling me off the hook for the past 4 days. I finally called back and got a man who stated the case was from IRS. Little did he know I am dealing with a repayment to IRS and when I asked why are you calling me when I am in communications and know no one should be contacting me until after April HE HUNG UP ON ME.
