This call was made to my cell a few minutes ago. Sometimes it (the infamous “Card Member Services”) calls my “landline” but usually with different spoofed numbers showing on my CID. I recognize the voice-mail recorded speaker as the same one from numerous previous calls in which the caller instructed me to consider this call my “final offer” to reduce the interest rate on my credit card. If only the warning were true and this call was indeed my final one from them! LOL
just got a call from them for the 8th time, this time I answered. Just like stated above- This is the final day I can lower my interest rate on my credit card ( No company or card name mentioned, just 'your credit card') Real companies like to say their name over and over. Press one to continue for a live operator. Ha ha this should be fun. I pressed one. "Kathy" gets on the line and wants to verify my credit card number, so without any hesitation I said 'ok you go first.' 'No ma'am, we need you to verify the credit card number' 'Yup, you called me from MY credit card company. That means you know who I am and what my number is. YOU. GO. FIRST. I'd be happy to tell you if you are correct. C'mon, isn't this game fun??' Dead air....click awwwww shucks my "credit card company" doesn't really want to lower my interest rate. And I was just getting started. Please people don't ever fall for anything like this... and have some fun with them when you can. The longer you keep them on the phone messing with them, the shorter time they have to call people more gullible. Peace.
I just got a call from this number and it was automated. I waited for a live person which i spoke to. I asked all kinds of questions and he hung up on me. He said he was from Visa Corporation wanting me to get on the lower interest rate. Such a scam.
