Received call today stating it was regarding a serious matter and to call back at 844-531-9284 even though they called from a vancouver, wa phone number.
# called at 8:18 this morning, voice mail said calling about serious issue with my account, gave #, said to call back on 844-531-9283...anyone i have accounts with leaves the business name...thinking it's scam
I just got the same type of message as mentioned above by SueW - they were asking for my brother in law, who has never lived with us and does not use our phone number for reference. said "serious issue with a past banking transaction" and wanted me to push a number on my phone to continue. Threatened that if I did not, this would be taken to the next level. This seemed like a scam to me so I just hung up. No company was mentioned. If there really was an issue with an account, they should #1- call the correct person and #2- should have used the name of the company so we know its legit.
